This may be one of the most surprising Monday’s News yet. Bubsy is getting a game collection on Steam and on consoles? Isn’t that supposed to be a bad series of games? An older collection from the same game series is also being delisted as well. In other news, the first Trails in the Sky game is getting a remake on Steam and all the major consoles. Plus, Green Man Gaming is going to begin doing charity bundles starting in October!
Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection Announced

In shocking news today, Bubsy, one of the most maligned mascot characters of the 1990’s, is back in a new game collection! I will just say right here that this is not the most exciting news I have ever heard. The Bubsy series was not too well received when it was originally released. Moreover, I always thought of him as being a step down from Mario, Sonic, and Bonk.
Still, here we are with Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection which will release on September 9, 2025 for Steam. According to this trailer, it will also come out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
What’s impressive about this is that the developers have taken a lot of care for the Bubsy character and things related to him. This is shown in the wide amount of bonus material found int the collection,
- Enhanced resolution and frame rates
- Save states and rewind functionality
- Scans of art, manuals, ads, and more
- Video interviews
- Music player
In regard to the games themselves, the titles included are,
- Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (Super Nintendo Entertainment System™, Super Famicom™, SEGA Genesis™)
- Bubsy II (Super Nintendo Entertainment System™, SEGA Genesis™, Game Boy™)
- Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales (Atari Jaguar™)
- Bubsy 3D (PlayStation®)
Which, looking at the list above, is actually a good amount of games! Now, I don’t know if the games themselves are good, but I have to give credit to Limited Run Games and Atari for compiling a quality amount of games for the collection, including rare ones.
Shockingly, Bubsy 3D, which is known as a terrible 3D platformer, has two versions in this set. The second version will be a “refurbished edition” that has fully analog controls. Hopefully such an improvement will make the title much better than it was originally.
Although the price isn’t listed on Steam, the Switch physical release is currently on preorder for $34.99 from Limited Run Games.
As I already shared above, the Steam page for this collection can be found here.
Bubsy Two-Fur To Be Delisted September 9, 2025

In related news, Bubsy Two-Fur, an older collection of the first two Bubsy games will be delisted from Steam on September 9. It contains the SNES versions of the first two Bubsy titles, along with 9 available save slots for each game. As of this posting, it is on sale for 75% off, with the sale price being just $1.24. It will go back up to its regular price of $4.99 on Thursday, August 22nd.
The announcement of the delisting came last week, as can be found in this news post.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Announced

Recently, Nihon Falcom has announced a reimagining of the first game in their popular Trails series of titles. It is Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, which looks to be a remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
Some of the changes include enhanced HD visuals, with new 3D graphics, along with redone voiceovers for both the English and Japanese casts. Another big change is a new (optional) real-time battle system. If you’d like, a traditional turn-based combat system will still available in the game.
With that said, the upcoming remake doesn’t have a release date or suggested retail price, as of yet. Furthermore, physical releases for the console versions haven’t been announced either.
The Steam sales page can be found here. As is shown in this trailer, the remake will also be released on Nintendo Switch and PS5.
On a related note, the original version of the game, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, is still available online. The Steam version can be found here, as well as on GOG.com. There hasn’t been any news about whether the older release will be delisted (hopefully not!).
