With today’s news, we have a remaster of Croc Legend of Gobbos and a remake of The House of the Dead 2! Let’s take a look at what we know about these so far!
Croc Legend of the Gobbos Is Coming to Steam
The first bit of news is the upcoming release of Croc Legend of the Gobbos for Steam! It is a remaster of the popular PlayStation and Sega Saturn 3D platformer that was originally released in 1997. The game now has a Steam page, which is found here. According to the trailer, it features upgraded textures and 3D models, along with modernized controls. Moreover the video does a good job of showcasing the personality of Croc, with lots of little sound effects being played, along with reminders of just how cute he is as a character.
The remaster has already been released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The original game was produced by Argonaut Software Limited (Wikipedia), who developed the Super FX chip used in Star Fox for the SNES. The company is now known as Argonaut Games.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2: Remake on Steam
The second game recently announced is a remake of The House ot the Dead 2. According to the release date trailer, it will be coming out on Steam, GOG, and Nintendo Switch. It is planned to release on August 7, 2025, which is about four weeks away! For some reason, some gamers haven’t been happy with the remake of the first game, so hopefully this second one is better!
