Today, us RPG fans have a lot to be excited about! Not only do we have remasters of Suikoden 1 & 2, LUNAR 1 & 2, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but also Breath of Fire IV is on GOG!! This last one was just released a couple of days ago, and has a regular retail price of just $9.99! This is far away a massive reduction in price for what one can find on eBay for an English copy of the game on the original PlayStation!
We even have more than that to share in today’s news post! Topics include,
- Tons of Classic RPGs and Two Old-School Jaleco Baseball Games Are Now Available!
- Three Bloody Action Shooters That Were Delisted Have Come Back to GOG!
- The Steam Port of Age of War Has Been Taken Down.
Tons of Classic RPGs and Two Old-School Jaleco Baseball Games Are Now Available!

Of course, the big headline for this week is that Breath of Fire IV is available again at an affordable price on GOG for just $9.99! It is a port of the classic PlayStation 1 RPG. According to the sales page, it includes new features such as new rendering options, an improved audio engine with restored environmental sound effects, improved keyboard and mouse support, and more. If you’re one of the people who have wanted to play this game for years, now is the time to go to GOG and show your support for this important new release!

Earlier this month, we also saw the release of LUNAR Remastered Collection on Steam. It has a regular retail price of $49.99 and includes remastered versions of the PlayStation 1 RPGs, LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue Complete. While it features both English and Japanese voice acting, it should be noted that the English voice actors are not the same as the ones from the Working Designs localization. Furthermore, after reading a certain review on Steam, it’s been reported that most of the bad translations from LUNAR 1 have been fixed, along with most of the dated jokes being dropped.
This is good to hear for those who want a bit more authentic translation of these two games. Considering that each of them cost about $100 on eBay, this is a great deal! It comes highly recommended as someone who played both of the games on Sega CD and then again on PS1 back in the day. Just be aware that the stories are more about the relationships between the characters and the enjoyable music than being RPGs with huge psychological messages.

Although I didn’t report on it earlier, there’s also another collection of two classic PlayStation 1 JRPGs that had a release last month, too. They are Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster Gate Ruin and Dunan Unification Wars for $49.99. This collection includes additional features such as autosaves, battle fast forward, and a conversation log. It came out on March 6th 2025

Turning to computer RPGs, we have The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered that just released last week with a regular price of $49.99. Incredibly, it already has over 26,000 reviews with a very positive rating. The graphical upgrades look incredible and YouTube is basically blowing up about it! Thankfully, Bethesda did not delist the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition from 2009, so if you want to play the earlier version for $19.99 you can still do so!

Finally, last week also had the surprising Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded come out on Steam and GOG. Being a small collection of Bases Loaded and Super Bases Loaded from the NES and SNES, respectively, it doesn’t have a lot of reviews. Yet, for fans of these classic sports games, I encourage people to pick it up if you’d like to see more Jaleco titles on Steam or GOG. As of this posting, the compilation is currently on sale at 20% off, but its regular price will be $12.99 once that ends.
Three Bloody Action Shooters That Were Delisted Have Come Back to GOG!

On a different note, some games that were delisted on GOG last month have now made their return to the site. They are not RPGs, but rather bloody action games and a shmup. They are,
If you’d like to get these again without DRM, now you can do so again! The art design for each seems great, especially if you enjoy gory games. Although, you may want to wishlist them for now and buy them when they go on sale.
The Steam Port of Age of War Has Been Taken Down.

A week ago I announced that the mobile game, Age of War, had been ported to Steam. However, the porting job was done without permission of the game’s original creator, and so the Steam port was delisted just a week after release. The game is still available to download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
That’s the news that I have to share for this week. What do you all think? Are you excited about all the great RPG’s that are readily available again? Are you going to pick any of them up? let us know in the comments below!
