Action-adventure titles with magic elements are very common in the world of gaming. This makes a lot of sense considering just how popular Harry Potter is. So how do you stand out with yet another game focused on a magic user? You make it so you can design your own magic spells, like in Mages of Mystralia!
As the sales page explains, you play the part of Zia, a young girl who has the power of magic. Through the use of runes, she is able to craft new spells. With these she traverses a dozen different areas, meanwhile fighting monsters, solving puzzles, and facing off against epic boss creatures. Going over to the Steam page, it is very positively rated, with over 800 total reviews. It seems to be a really important release from 2017, and I’m looking forward to playing it in the future!
