The Vectrix Mini was recently shown off at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo last week. Here are the details!

It is going to be available for preorder as a Kickstarter beginning on November 3rd, 2025. It will include 12 built in games that can be played on a 5 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 800 by 600. Each game will also include miniature overlays for the included titles.

The console will have a micro-SD slot to allow you to to play additional homebrew games or titles you own. A Bluetooth controller with four action buttons and a self-centering analog joystick will also be included. A second controller can be connected for multiplayer. Finally, video output will be integrated at the back of the unit. It is not stated what the output resolution will be, but I would expect it be 720P since a lot of other mini consoles use that resolution.

The website also speaks of a Special Edition of the machine along with merchandise you will be able to buy with the system.

Concerning the Kickstarter, there will be different tiers of pricing for the console based on when you preorder it. The regular price of the system will be $185. However, there will also be a Founder Edition for $115, limited to the first 50 units. Plus, there’s Early Bird pricing for the first 300 pre-orders coming in at $150.00.

I think this is a very cool mini console! I was never able to play it, but I like the look of it a lot and I’d like to play it. Mainly due to Gaming The Systems Top 10 videos for the system (linked below). I hope the video out functions well and looks good, especially on an OLED screen.

Links to the Kickstarter and the home page are also found below, along with the YouTube channel where I first learned of the Vectrex Mini.

Retro Games Limited has announced THEA1200. It’s a full-size modern A1200 with a working keyboard and integrated workbench desktop. It will include 25 classic games with four save-slots per title.

Some of the included games will be,

  • Beneath a Steel Sky
  • Lure of the Temptress
  • Ruff ‘n’ Tumble
  • Defender of the Crown I & II
  • The Turrican Trilogy
  • The Settlers II

That comes out to 9 games, so there’s 16 more yet to be revealed. You will be able to sideload the games you own via a USB stick.

Along with the working keyboard, the system will also include a mouse and gamepad. The system will launch June 2026 with preorders beginning on November 10, 2025.

Although it’s not stated, I expect the video output will be 720p 50 or 60Hz like the previously released THEA500 Mini.
