This week’s news is rather negative, with 12 Psikyo shmups on Steam being delisted at the end of October, 2025. As of this writing, each game has a regular retail price of $9.99. All of them can also be purchased at once with a meager 10% discount. Through this offer, the total price for them is about $108. But at least there are other ways to purchase the games on consoles!

The games affected include.
- Strikers, 1945
- Strikers 1945 II
- Strikers 1945 III
- GUNBIRD
- GUNBIRD 2
- GUNBARICH
- Samurai Aces
- TENGAI
- Samurai Aces III: Sengoku Cannon
- SOL DIVIDE -SWORD OF DARKNESS-
- Dragon Blaze
- ZERO GUNNER 2
In my opinion, this is a slap in the face to fans of the company. During the last Steam Sale all 12 games were discounted 70% off, but the publisher didn’t tell consumers that the licenses were ending at the end of the month. They could have made a lot more money if they were up front about it!
At the very least, the games will remain available on PS4, Nintendo Switch 1, and modern Xbox systems for the foreseeable future. The official announcement on Steam states in part, “Sales on other platforms will continue, so we hope you will keep enjoying the game there as well.”
How To Buy the Psikyo Shooter Collections Legally

Having shared this unfortunate news, let me tell you of other ways to buy the games legally.
If you want the games physically, they are still available at VideoGamesPlus and Play-Asia as of this writing.
Each of the dozen games should also be available for Nintendo Switch 1, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on their respective shops as well. They tend to go on sale a few times a year, as shown on psprices.com for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch 1. The games should also be available on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S as well. However, they don’t seem to go on sale as often.
Another note worth mentioning is that the Nintendo Switch 1 ports have pretty bad input lag compared to the PlayStation 4 releases. Playing the games on Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t help any, either.
Of course this is frustrating, especially since the last couple of delisting announcements were not that big of a deal. Some examples include my reports on System Shock 2 and an older Bubsy Collection.
