Steam Autumn Sale 2025 Recommendations - Great Retro Gaming Buyer’s Guide!

Steam Autumn Sale 2025 Recommendations – Great Retro Gaming Buyer’s Guide!

Date Posted:

|

Last week, Valve began their Steam Autumn Sale for 2025. To help readers decide what to buy, I’m showcasing a lot of the high quality deals currently available for retro and retro-inspired titles!

Before we begin, keep in mind that this sale ends on October 6th at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. Due to time constraints, some of the titles only show their name, followed by a dash and the price of the game rounded up to the next dollar. However, I have included a brief note next to many of them. Because there are over 100 titles in this list, I do not show cents or dollar signs to save time in preparing this buyer’s guide.

Also, I will just say up front that I have not played every game that is listed here. The releases I am recommending are those that the larger gaming community on Reddit, YouTube, or Steam seem to enjoy greatly. Additionally, there are some games that I have inadvertently left off. I’ve tried to prepare the largest list I could, while also avoiding sales that I don’t think are very exciting. Oh, and by the way, I am not a horror fan, so Resident Evil titles and Silent Hill 2 are not on this list. Sorry!

Note: The links after the Table of Contents automatically take you to the game’s Steam page. Please right-click on the link and choose to open it in a new tab to stay on this page. You may also use CTRL + Left-click for Windows, or Command + Click for MacOS. if you leave the post and want to look at more games, please come back here! Thank you!! ^_^

Also: Just know that all the images below are from the Steam game’s respective sales page or bundle.

Having shared those bits of info, let’s go to the Table of Contents,

Quality Bundle Offers on Steam

Final Fantasy Collection
FINAL FANTASY I-VI Bundle (Which has gone down in price since I took this photo)

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection – 20 – Includes all versions of Mega Man Battle Network 1-6 at a price that is $10 less than last season’s sale!

MEGA MAN PACK – 30 – Includes Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2, Mega Man X Legacy Collections 1 and 2, Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, and Mega Man 11. Not a bad deal if you want a lot of the Blue Bomber! It has a 40% bundle discount.

Sam & Max: The Complete Trilogy – 27 – This is a pretty good deal on the classic series of point and click adventure titles! It marks the trilogy’s new historical low on Steam with a 25% bundle discount.

Sonic the Hedgehog Legacy Bundle – 32 – While not a huge deal, this does offer a 22% bundle discount on about half a dozen Sonic the Hedgehog titles. It’s the only way to get the original Sonic Generations Collection on Steam now.

TIMEGAL & HAYATE Anime LD Game Pack – 32 – Fans of the SEGA CD may have a soft spot for some class Laserdisc anime games such as these. This bundle saves you 20%, or $8.00 off the current sale price of these games. I don’t know if Road Avenger/Blaster will ever be added to Steam. Hopefully so!

Toaplan Arcade Shoot’em Up Ultimate Collection – 38 – 16 Toaplan shmups with a 46% bundle discount! This is $4 cheaper than I have ever seen it!

Valve Complete Pack – 25 – This includes lots of Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Team Fortress, and Portal games with a 10% bundle discount. The bundle discount isn’t very good, but the individual titles are reduced so much that it is fine.

Conclusion

And there you have it! This is the list that I was able to prepare for this Steam Sale for Autumn 2025, which again, is ending soon on October 6th! I know that there are many titles that I haven’t included above, but this is a fair sampling of a lot of the retro and retro-inspired titles that are available at really good prices for the next few days.

Do any of the games listed above surprise you? Are there any that you’re going to buy after seeing this?

As shocking as it is, I plan on picking up the FMV games that are almost never on sale, such as Ground Zero Texas – Nuclear Edition. The reason being that they are historical important in mid-1990’s gaming history, and I want to be able to review them in the future at a reasonable price. By the way, yes, I did play the Sega CD when it was new, so I have some nostalgia for FMV titles.

Thank you for making it this far down the post! I appreciate it!
