Today there’s a good bit of news worth mentioning. The popular JRPGs, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter and the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics remaster both have new trailers available. Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake will be playable at next week’s Tokyo Game Show 2025. Also, four Evercare carts will be entering status in December, plus a Bandai Namco board game is going to be delisted from Steam at the end of this month.
New Trailers for Some Popular JRPGs

We begin our news for today with some light material, you could say. Both Falcom and SquareEnix have released new trailers for their respective RPG’s that have either been just released, or are coming very soon. In the case of Falcom, they shared a battle trailer for Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter recently. At the end of last week, they also released a launch trailer for it, too.

About Final Fantasy Tactics, a recent enhanced opening movie trailer dropped on YouTube. Moreover, a Japanese launch trailer came out as well. Even though the latter video has Japanese voice acting, it also has English subtitles. Concerning the opening movie, I was very glad to watch it and enjoyed it quite a bit! It gave me a ton of nostalgia with the water reflections and the armored chocobo that I remember seeing from the original PlayStation 1 opening FMV!
Both series of videos don’t show a lot of new content or material compared to what we already know about them. However, I wanted to make sure to bring them to your attention so you can check them out if you want.
For those curious, I previously reported on Trails in the Sky, 1st Chapter here. I also discussed the Final Fantasy Tactics remaster at this point as well. The links to the trailers are provided below.

Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake Playable at Tokyo Game Show 2025

Despite it not being mentioned for many years, the X account for Panzer Dragoon: Remake recently announced that Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2025! This is less than a week away, with TGS 2025 being from Thursday, September 25 through Sunday, September 28.
The post says “The legend returns at Tokyo Game Show 2025! Visitors at the Rainy Frog Games booth will be able to play the demo of Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake for the very first time. Get ready to relive the iconic rail shooter with modern visuals and remastered music.”
Now, according to accounts online, the developer of this remake isn’t the most well regarded, as is stated in this Reddit post.
Even so, I’d still like to give the game a chance and let people know of it. There is a Steam page for it, but there isn’t any release date for it as of yet. At least some pictures of the game are available there!

Four More Evercade Carts Are Going Legacy in December 2025

The most time-sensitive news for today is that last week Blaze Entertainment announced that four more Evercade cartridges will enter legacy status in December of 2025. This means Blaze will not be able to print them anymore, and once various retailers exhaust stock, they won’t be able to purchase more.
The games affected cartridges include,
- Piko Interactive Collection 2
- Indie Heroes Collection 1
- Mega Cat Studios Collection 2
- The Sydney Hunter Collection
Personally, I think two of these are not massive losses. For example, Piko Interactive Collection 2 contains a lot of sports titles along with a few racing games. With it going legacy, the most unfortunate game going away is Top Racer 2, which is a very popular title.
Then with The Sydney Hunter Collection it only contains four games and for some people, it was the point where they decided to no longer go for a complete set of Evercade carts.
On the other hand, indie Heroes Collection 1 was among the first big indie collections that was available for the Evercade. It includes a number of highly regarded titles, including, Twin Dragons, Deadeus, and Alien Cat 2. Although, the last of those games is also available in an expanded form in Indie Heroes Collection 3. In addition to those, it also has some other popular titles such as Chain Break, Flea!, and Foxyland. To my knowledge, it is also the only way to play the Gameboy Color version of Quest Arrest. Elsewhere, it is just a regular Gameboy game.
Moreover, Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 contains a large number of puzzle platformer games that fans of the genre should really enjoy! It also has the block-matching release Romeow and Julicat, and an overhead shooter called Arkagis Revolution. To my knowledge, the Mega Cat Studios Collection 1 will remain available.
Still, I do believe that for these latter two carts, if you’re interested in getting into the Evercade ecosystem, or like the look of these games, I recommend picking them up sooner rather than later! As of this posting, they are still available at various storefronts. In a couple of months, I am not sure if that will be the case since Blaze is usually slow at reprinting carts. I don’t know if they will do a final print run by the end of November.

Bandai Namco’s Billion Road Being Delisted From Steam Soon

This is just hot off the press! Bandai Namco’s Japanese-centric digital board game, Billion Road, is being delisted from Steam very soon! Right now, the game is on its last 80% off discount, making it only $3.99 to buy. The game will be delisted on September 30, 2025.
I don’t know hardly anything about it, other than what the trailer shows and the reviews say about it. If you like Japanese chibi art styles, or board games, you may want to try it out.
