For those who miss classic point and click adventure games in the style of Maniac Mansion or Zak McKracken, then Stellar Mess: The Princess Conundrum (Chapter 1) is worth checking out! It is currently free on Steam and Itch.io.
According to reviews, people find it rather funny with charming characters and enjoyable dialogue. It also contains some challenging puzzles, as one would expect from a game such as this. More skilled adventure fans were able to beat it in a few hours, but others were rather stumped by it at times.
What I noticed was that it takes place in 1991, so it has a lot of references to entertainment media from that time period, such as alternate versions of the Terminator 2 and Die Hard 2 movies.
The game is available on Steam right now, and also on Itch.io. I think they are going to be free up to Thursday, February 27, but I am not sure about that.
