Overview of Indie Gala’s Love Protocol Bundle!

If there’s any game bundle company that tends to be ignored, it’s Indie Gala. Yet, sometimes they feature some pretty interesting bundles. The most recent of which is their Love Protocol Bundle. With it, purchasers receive six games for the price of $3.99.

The games included in the bundle are,

Like some other bundles, one of the the most intriguing aspects of this one is its diversity of genres represented. None of these share the same style of gameplay as any other, making it valuable primarily for players who have wide gaming tastes. For those curious, here is a brief summary of the games on offer, based on their Steam pages.

Astra Protocol 2 is a deep and addictive space simulator but with wrinkle of having to using 1980s technology to input commands. Players have to enter instructions, such as “bearing 340,” to control spacecrafts. It is not easy, but sounds like it is rewarding for dedicated gamers.

CEO is a simulation game where are you lead a company to profits against other competitors. According to Steam, the graphics style has been updated since the game was released. This results in the game not looking like what its Steam page indicates. It reminds me of SimCity in some ways, but the developer seems to have abandoned the title. It is still rated as Mostly Positive, though.

Interstate Drifter 2000 is a retro pixel art open world driving and racing game that has also been abandoned by its developer. It is the sequel to Interstate Drifter 1999, which has some of the same mechanics, but without the open world aspect. Gamers still regard it positively, and I’d like to try it out anyway. Most people would probably be better off just playing Interstate Drifter 1999 instead. It is free on Steam.

Splatter is a bloody first-person shooter that is viewed Very Positively on Steam. The idea of using your hands to shoot is neat, but I tend to avoid gory games. The developer even says that the game’s title is a reference to blood. Note, this game’s lowest price on Steam is currently $7.49. Thus, making this bundle an excellent value for just this one game by itself!

Unwording is a short exploratory game where players try to help the main character have a healthy self talk in his mind after facing a recent challenge in his life. The trailer even explicitly says it is about overcoming negative thought patterns. It sounds like a fascinating game for self-reflection!

Finally, We are Eva is a precision platformer in the style of Celeste. It sounds very challenging, with pixel artwork, the ability to change dimensions or layouts of the level regularly, and a dry or dark sense of humor that may be enjoyable for some gamers. It is rated as Very Positive on Steam.

Having shared all that, I recommend going to the Is There Any Deal page to see if the value is there for you before buying this bundle. Assuming Indie Gala provides individual Steam keys for each, perhaps some buyers would benefit from getting the bundle, and then going to Indie Game Swap on Reddit to trade away the rest for something else they want. As was shared before, the Love Protocol Bundle is at Indie Gala for those who want to check it out.
