Capcom Arcade Classics & Fighters Pack Bundle Overview (Humble Bundle)

Yesterday, Humble Bundle released the Capcom Arcade Classics & Fighter Pack bundle, which is a great bundle for people who like Street Fighter or classic Capcom arcade games.

For Street Fighter fans, it includes the admittedly older compilation, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which contains a multitude of different versions of Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter III, and the original Street Fighter. Additionally, there’s also Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter V – Champion Edition. For those interested, the bundle also offers a 50% off coupon for Street Fighter 6, but that has been discounted at that amount at least 7 times since June 2024, so that isn’t really an impressive discount.

The real reason to buy this bundle is because it includes Capcom Arcade Stadium and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, both of which contain over 30 arcade Capcom titles each. Many of these are pure classics, while others are lesser-known releases not available legally elsewhere. For the complete bundle, the total comes out to $20 dollars, which is a really good deal. This means that the price of each game is less than 33 cents. You are basically paying to play each game one time for the price of the bundle. For ease of reference, here is a link to a Wikipedia page showing the list of all games in the two Stadium collections.

My recommendation is to buy the bundle for the Arcade Stadium titles at 10 dollars each. You then can enjoy the slightly newer Street Fighter games for effectively free. Another aspect in the bundle’s favor is that it is an efficient bundle; there isn’t too much overlap between the different titles. Older Capcom bundles have also included the Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle and Capcom Fighting Collection 1. Each of these releases have been superseded by the Arcade Stadium collections. Thus, making them redundant except for unique achievements and some bonus features not available elsewhere.
